All of our baked goods are made fresh daily using a high quality high gluten flour, extra-virgin olive oil, and organic and locally sourced produce whenever possible. 

Our pizza, panini and crostoni feature simple, traditional toppings and fillings that should be enjoyed room temperature or straight from the oven.

This ain't a PIE... this is a PALAM!!!

Our four foot long pizza PALAM (pah-lam) are done in the traditional style of those baked in Rome.  A palam (originally a word from latin) is the four-foot long wood  board that our pizzas are put into and taken out of the oven with.  Unique in New York, this style of pizza originated in Rome, and is the form that is enjoyed by Romans on the go or dining with family or friends.  One full pizza palam is the equivalent of two and a-half 14 inch round pies.  Enjoyed as a full palam or “a taglio” (by the slice) our pizza may be enjoyed room temperature (as they do in Rome) or straight from the oven (as many New Yorkers love).  Regardless of your temperature preference at Farinella, we are dedicated to offering you an authentic taste of Italy.

Farinella offers far more than pizza, focaccia and rustic Italian bread (which we fondly call Casericcio).  We also offer a wide variety of bread and other baked goods made fresh on premises by our master bakers every morning…while you sleep.  Among the delectable offerings include traditional favourites such as our Walnut Loaf, Sunflower Loaf, Black Olive Loaf, Black Pepper Loaf, Baguettes, Semolina Sesame Rolls, Challah Bread, Sourdough loaves, Multi Grain rolls with cranberries and raisins, Chocolate Brioche, Brioche filled with cream, Sticky Sweet Buns, Muffins and so much more.  We invite you to stop by for breakfast and enjoy our fresh baked treats with some coffee or tea…we’re open here at Farinella Downtown (and soon on the UES) from 9AM everyday. For those of you who get going a bit later, stop by and we’ll have something waiting for you…

In addition to our selection of prepared Italian classics we invite you to explore the Farinella Marketplace, our ever growing selection of imported products.  In the marketplace we offer many of the same products that we use in our own kitchen such as Mediterranean Tuna, canned organic San Marzano tomatoes, marinated mushrooms and artichokes.  We also have a selection of organic Italian Cookies, juices and specialty pasta, as well as our own homemade Farinella breadcrumbs.
